48 viviendas / 48 houses
Estudio Cano Lasso
Forty-eight dwellings on a narrow and steep plot. The dwellings are oriented towards the sea, looking for the most appealing views.
The architecture is simple and done wisely. Everything white; white walls, white roofs, as it is typical in Andalucía, this gives great luminosity and continuity to the complex. The floor, made out of clay tiles.
As it has always been done.
At the back, a narrow and long walkway gives access to the dwellings, just like the streets of the surrounding towns. Protected from the relentless southern sun, the smell of lavandas wraps it.
Gaps between the blocks allow views to the spectacular landscape ahead; they frame the Herradura of Almuñecar, bringing it towards us.
The dwellings, consisting of two floors, respond to the andalusian tradition, as it is well known that wisdom lies in the experience.
